Saturday Nov. 15 at TT’s sometime in the mid-80′s

Well it’s just another regular Saturday night in Cambridge at TT and The Bears. It just so happens that three of the greatest Boston bands from the 80′s are on a triple bill. Sadly any music I have from
Sorry or The Lemonheads is on vinyl but I’ll make up for it by putting extra of Big Dipper – the tallest band from Boston. Big Dipper release three albums. They were all a blend of punk and perfect power pop. I’ll post tracks from the last two (Craps And Slam)but do whatever you can to track down Heavens, their debut on Homestead Records. Every single song on that one is a classic. Here’s four from Craps, I love the chorus to Mr Lincoln in particular it goes “Hey Mr Lincoln, Mr Lincoln, why the long face. What’s the skinny, man?”:

Meet The Witch

Ron Klaus Wrecked His House

Hey Mr. Lincoln

A Song To Be Beautiful

From Slam:

Love Barge

Bony Knees Of Nothing

The Monsters Of Jazz

Impossible Things

Tommorrow we do Tuesday night Nov 18 – firehose
