But what I’ve got has got to be one of his best. It’s a cd called The Million Dollar Quartet and features Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis fooling around in a studio at the start of their careers. If you only know Elvis from his movies or from his embarrassing Las Vegas stage you’ve got to check this out or any of his early Sun recordings for Sam Phillips. On December 4, 1956 the music gods did some of their best work and got these four giants together in one room and just let the tape roll (warts and all).
Because I’m in the middle of my Gospel kick I’m just going to put up the gospel numbers, they’re actually some of the best. To download right click and change the file name to whatever you want and add .mp3 (any problems please leave a comment)
