Jackpine Social Club is home to Jesse DeNatale, Oranger, Kelly Stoltz, Parchman Farm, and Sonny Smith. They’ve gort a download or two by each of them and I’m liking everything I hear. Jesse DeNetale is opening for Jonathan Richmond so you know he’s not all bad. Parchman Farm’s leader used to be in Mover and apparently they were cool. And goodness gracious Oranger has tourted with REM, Wilco and Pavement (jeez where have I been), members of Oranger have recently joined The Posies and Tarnation. So here’s the links to the tunes and don’t expect two a day anytime soon.
Parchman Farm – “Chosen Child”
Oranger “Shut Down The Sun”
Jesse DeNatale “Shangri-La West”
and “Twilight King”
Kelly Stoltz “Mean Mariana”

Thanks for the comments on my site, funny how that goes…I’ll be checking your site as well…and I’ll ad your link.
I’ll try to post some more songs from Sweet’s “Goodfriend” album (It’s really good), can’t do it right now as I’m juggling web space for tunes! I’m piggybacking my posts (it’s free) so I’m a bit limited on how much I can put up…I’m going to have to change that, though…
Thanks!
Oh…almost forgot…I’ve got a BUNCH of live Jonathan Richman tunes, if you’re a fan. Let me know and I’ll post some in the future.
stay kool!
Jack Pine’s good stuff. Just about all these guys are based here in San Francisco and regularly play shows at a bar called Thee Parkside. It’s kinda like Jack Pine’s HQ. Saw Kelly Stoltz play the entire “Crocodiles” album by Echo & The Bunnymen one time, brilliant.
