I really like it when a blog focuses in on one thing and does it well, a great example of that is Womenfolk, in fact I’m upset I didn’t think of it first. I’m still amazed at the extent men are at the forefront of the music industry. It’s a struggle to put up one post by a female artist to every 5 or 10 posts of bands led by men. This is even true in the mp3 blogging world where most of us are guys. So it should come as no surprise that the post of the day is going to be a woman singer-songwriter. Kris Delmhorst is signed to Signature Sounds (they don’t pay me to continually mention them – although I wish they would) and has released three records for them including a trio record with Peter Mulvey and Jeffrey Faucault called Redbird. She’s been kind enough to put a couple full-length mp3 downloads on her site
