A Split Post With Bart Davenport and Beam from Antenna Farm Records

Hey they had split singles and now apparently there are split cds so here’s my first official split post. Both Bart Davenport and Beam find a home on Oakland’s Antenna Farm Records. Bart Davenport apparently led countless mod revival and blue eyed soul groups in Sf in the 80’s and 90’s and now he’s struck out on his own but from both of these polished songs you can hear his roots (I mean at one point he’s totally Jagger and then later Ray Davies). Bart is presently on tour in Germany with Kings Of Convenience which at least proves I’m not steering you too wrong.

Beam is fronted by French ex-pat Helene Renaut (what a great French name) and the one song available is done in French so while I spent a semester there in high school and was just in Normandy last year you’re on your on with the translation.

“les anges n’ont pas d’ailes” means “Angels have no wings”.
But as you wrote it (dailles) it sounds like “angels have no garlic” :))
