I’d like to give credit where credit is due but I have no idea who tipped me off to Holcombe Waller. Holcombe has had an eventful life and I can’t get into the half of it here (car accidents, anti-depressants, dotcom burnout, and personal epiphany’s). Read his bio on his site if you’re interested.
I contacted Holcombe after hearing of his music and unlike some artists (I won’t name names) was supportive of the mp3 blog thing and provided me with these links to two of his songs off his new disc Troubled Times. His soaring vocals and warm analog instumentation reminds me of Rufus Wainwright or Josh Rouse but his bio brings up Jeff Buckely as a reference point. Buy Troubled Times here.

Thanks for the info. I never heard Holcombe Waller’s work and it sound great. That’s cool that he put up those tracks for you too. Heading to his website now.
Unfortunately, the art for this record is better than the music. It’s nice though.
