Exclusive track from the 2006 release on Matador by UK act Seachange

Sometimes in life you get lucky. There are the big life altering good breaks and then their are the smaller serendipitous happenings that occur daily.

Well, this is one of the latter and in fact for regular unhip, older readers of Songs:illinois you might want to surf away for a little while. I literally stumbled upon the mp3 of a new song by the Matador band Seachange. This is from their forthcoming untitled record that has no release date, artwork or track listing yet.

I’m guessing this is an exclusive so props to me, huh! This Nottingham sextet got huge raves for their debut. And from this preview of the new record more raves are probably on the way. This one song reminds me of The Godfathers “Birth, School, Work, Death” (is that the right order?). Enjoy.
