Someone’s got to create an mp3 blog of music from the emerald isles (let’s say Scotland, Irelands and Wales for now). I’m up to my eyeballs in American and Swedish music at the moment but please be my guest and get it going. For now here’s two mp3′s from Green Linnet’s cd series called Artists We Admire.
The first song is from the solo cd of The Blind Dogs founder Jonny Hardie called Lucky Jonny. The song is track one, “F O Forbes of Corse”, and it’s a lovely, lilting fiddle tune.
The second is more of a reeling, dance tune by the Brock McGuire Band, a band that has been named Ireland’s best instrumental band. Click below to hear “The Morning Star”.
