JF Robitaille has a new ep which came out on Aprill 11. He’s a Montreal born and bred songwriter who now lives in Brooklyn and has finished recording his debut cd for RhythmBank Records (a crappy label that somehow got lucky signing JF) with producers Howard Bilerman and Brian Paulson.
I’ve heard some of the material off the new ep and I like what I’ve heard but the song “The Blood In My Body” exceeds all my expectations for a new, unheralded artist. The chorus of “when I’m with you it’s the only time I can feel the blood in my body” could be taken quite literally (i.e. the perverted reading of the song) or if you like you could take it to mean that feeling of first love when your insides seem electrified and your blood boils.
