New songs from Timesbold (with album to follow) plus the solo project Whip

On an almost completely unrelated note, the band Timesbold has been in the studio working on their new record. Once in the studio the band and some friends recorded a great version of “Goodnight Irene” and they have released it as an mp3 while we wait for something new. Here’s “Goodnight Irene” and “I Hear You Hear” from their Woe Be Gone ep.

Goodnight Irene
I Hear You Hear

Plus solo stuff from the lead singer of Timesbold Jason Merrit, he calles his solo project Whip.

Perfect Drive
Nature

You’ll like all of this, trust me.

Well, I’ve just listened to Whip’s “Perfect Dive” and I don’t much like it all. Awfully dreary and self-important. Good Lord, this has been done 55,000 times before. This is a big fat YAWN.

You said I could trust you on this. My trust has been temporarily shaken. This saddens me.

If you are serious that’s what’s sad.
