Andre Ethier’s August release Secondathallam didn’t casue much of a raukus when it came out this past August on Paper Bag Records. That has more to do with the volume of great music being released then the quality of this release. I only discovered it in the midst of preparing posts for this weeks Canadian feature.
It’s not like Andre is some random singer songwriter toiling away in obscurity either. He’s a member of the defunct Canadian band The Deadly Snakes. On “In The Prim” Andre lists a litany of people who are on the outs leaving only the prim (I suppose he means prim and proper) and I suppose too he’s commenting on the new homogenized culture we’re all a part of.
