Matt The Electrician is the slightly unusual moniker Matt Sever goes by. I think it acurately describes Matt’s blue collar upbringing and maybe even his present occupation. Matt has had a strong presence in Austin for years but has been under represented on the web, it seems some of that has changed with his new release, a decent website, an upcoming west coast tour and even a publicist. You go, Matt!
“Happy Ending” is the first track on the new cd and while the title of the song may be slightly ironic; the song itself takes a “glass half full” look at life and at least holds out hope for a happy ending. One Thing Right was co-produced by Austin legend “Scrappy” Jud Newcomb comes out April 24 but is available now from CdBaby or at shows. Buy it here.
