“Dirty Little War” from Will Hoge’s Ken Coomer produced CD “Draw The Curtains” (Oct. 9)

I wrote about Will Hoge a long time ago. I liked this unkempt demo of his called “Baby Girl” that was circulating at the time. I don’t follow his career and have no idea what trajectory he’s currently on, but my interest was once again piqued when his new song “Dirty Little War” surfaced. Encouraged by the title and hoping for an anti-war, anti-bush anthem I got the free download via his site. I was slightly disappointed when the “dirty little war” of the title was not in reference to Iraq but instead of his relationship with a woman.

Then I listened a bit and enjoyed the Bodeans meets Ryan Adams meets Counting Crows sound on this track from his upcoming Ken Coomer produced release Draw The Curtains (Oct. 9). Will Hoge is a true road warrior and from the live concert photo’s on his site it looks like he puts on a great, sweaty show. Between now and the end of the year Will is going flat out. Catch him up and down the East Coast and into the Midwest through the end of Novemeber. Pre-order Draw The Curtains here.
