i&#039;m not sure if it was ripe when it first came out, but i think john walker has increased in potency over the years. somehow i find it more affecting now than i did during the initial media flap.

i guess political songs are like that - they are either too timely or completely timeless. it&#039;s a trick.</description>

Thanks for the Earle clips.  His music got a little too pedantic for me after El Corazon.  I might agree with 70% of his politics, but I don&#039;t necessarily want to hear about it in every song.  I will seek out this new cd.  Sounds like he is back to being a songwriter first, an activist second.</description>
