The new Giant Sand song is briljant. How Gelb can write such songs but most of his work is in my opinion oneven and not always produced with enough effort. But this sounds great. Looking forward for the new record.

Actually, Todd Snider has pushed back the general release of Peace Queer to October - I got an e-mail from his publicist yesterday saying the following:

"Todd Snider's birthday is October 11th. That means he's a Libra - you know, balanced and fair. This year, he'll be celebrating by giving away a free download of his new EP 'Peace Queer 'at ToddSnider.net from October 11th to October 31st. That's news, as is this information: 'Peace Queer' is now due in stores October 14th on Snider's own imprint (Aimless Records, distributed by RED, a division of Sony BMG Music Entertainment),"
