I was starting to feel a little guilty for not posting today. So here’s a little something in celebration of the upcoming SXSW music festival. Kill County is an Oklahoma based band with an affinity for sad sack americana-inflected alt-country. In layman’s terms they’re a little bit country, a little bit rock, and a little bit folk. Their sound has a minimalist feel with lots of space between and among the instruments.
I like “Down To Texas” from their 2010 release The Year Of Getting By, mainly because I’m confirmed for SXSW and from here on out til March 17 I’m all Texas all of the time.
